What is e-design?

E-design, also known as virtual or remote design, is an interior design service which is 100% completed online. Our designers gather all the necessary information (measurements, photos) from you, get to know you and your family, your likes and dislikes, budget and what your vision for your space is and then we get to work!
We create a beautiful cohesive design that fits you, your vision and your budget and present it to you in the form of an online interactive design board. Our design platform allows for easy collaboration between clients and designers and once you are happy with the design, you can order your products directly from the vendors - without any designer mark up. Our cost is strictly based on time spent on creating the design. Typically it takes 5-6 hours to create a first design draft for one whole room. As a result, our clients get high quality design services, for a fraction of the cost of an interior designer.
Color Consultations
Selecting the right paint colors is the basis of most larger design projects and we are happy to assist. We take materials and finishes already in your space into account, as well as what you would like the room to feel like, suggest the best colors and even have color samples shipped to you. Just like our E-design services, the color consult can be done virtually or in person (travel charges apply). At this time, we only offer color consultations as part of larger design projects.
What To Expect
The E-Design Process in a Nutshell
1. CONTACT & DISCOVERY CALL
You provide us with the details of your design project. After a quick discovery call where we learn more about your space, challenges and what you are looking for as well as for you to ask any questions you may have about the process. We also discuss pricing so you have a clear idea about cost before committing.

2. CONTRACT & DEPOSIT
Next, you will receive the contract and invoice for a 2 hour design services retainer. You will be able to sign the contract online and pay the invoice online via bank transfer or any major credit card.
3. DESIGN QUESTIONNAIRE
If you have not already, you will complete our design questionnaire to hone in on your style and color likes and dislikes as well as any ideas you may already have. You will also be asked to submit images and measurements of your space.
4. DESIGN PROCESS
We start designing! We incorporate everything we have learned about you and your preferences into a fresh design, which includes paint color recommendations as well as specific furnishings, soft goods, art and accessories to complete the look.
5. SEND DESIGN DRAFT
When ready, usually within 2-4 days, the design board will be shared with you. It will include the visual board as well as a list of all products linked to the vendor site for you to purchase them directly without any markup. It will include a design rationale (why we created the overall design that we did) as well as comments for each product as to why we chose it and why it works. This allows you to also learn some of these design concepts that you can apply when out shopping on your own!
6. FEEDBACK & REVISIONS
The platform we use to share the design allows for easy online collaboration where you provide feedback about the overall design or individual products. When adding a comment, we are alerted automatically and can work on any revisions necessary. We continue until you are happy with your design. Throughout the process you will stay updated on number of hours used so there are no surprises when you receive the final invoice upon completion of the project.
